Sometimes we hike for its sheer joy – to drink in the gorgeous scenery and the fresh air, connect with nature, and come face-to-face with wildlife. Other times, our hikes have a purpose, like visiting a hidden waterfall or making our way to a gorgeous Pennsylvania swimming hole like Blue Hole in Forbes State Forest. Although absolutely perfect in the summer, this Pennsylvania trail is well worth following any time of the year, just for a glimpse of the breathtaking blue hole that awaits.
Even if you’re not hiking in the summer, you’ll absolutely love the scenery – especially the brilliant blue swimming hole – that awaits on the 2.7-mile Cole Run Trail.
