The Hike To This Little-Known Pennsylvania Waterfall Is Short And Sweet

Discover the scenic Angel Falls Trail in Pennsylvania, leading to the breathtaking 70-foot Angel Falls.

Mother Nature certainly knows how to put on a spectacular show - from lightning strikes across the sky to howling snowstorms. But she's a pretty amazing artist, too. Just think of the waterfall, perhaps Mother Nature's most breathtaking masterpiece. We're pretty fortunate to have countless waterfalls across PA. When you want to see a little-known waterfall in Pennsylvania, follow this scenic trail.

Are you up for a somewhat challenging hike that will reward you with sensational views of a 70-foot waterfall, particularly breathtaking after a rainfall?

Then lace up those hiking boots for the hike along the 2.4-mile Angel Falls Trail, in Loyalsock State Forest, that culminates at the enchanting Angel Falls.

However, before you hit the trail, make sure you're up for the hike that's mostly uphill and has earned a rating of moderate from some hikers.

Keep in mind that the falls might not be as powerful if it hasn't rained in a while. And, if it has recently rained, you'll likely be dealing with muddy ground. (Wear appropriate shoes.)

At the top of the trail, stop to admire the overhead views of the gushing waterfall. For views from the base, just hike downhill.

To return to the start of the trail, retrace your steps back down the mountain.

Unfortunately, camping is no longer allowed near the falls, as the area is currently being restored to its original state.

Address: Shrewsbury Township, PA 18619
