These 9 Waterparks In Oregon Are Pure Bliss For Anyone Who Goes There

Oregon is obviously home to some of the best natural water sources around, with lakes, rivers, ponds, creeks, and the beach - all ripe for swimming. Of course, there are occasions when a drive outside of city limits is not an option, while your little ones are still itching to cool off in the water. So what's a parent to do? Have some fun at Oregon Waterparks! We've located some waterparks in Oregon, both indoor and outdoor, that may be just the answer.

1. Blue Lake Park, Fairview

So your wee tot can't swim yet. No problem at this massive splash pad at Blue Lake Park. Plus, paddle boating and a nice swimming beach are available on the lake. Note: The splash pad is getting an update so it will be closed until Saturday, June 15, 2024.

2. Mount Scott Community Center

Public pools have really stepped up their game over the years. Mount Scott Community Center comes equipped with slides, and a shallow water splash area, and is indoors so you can enjoy it year-round.

Note: The Mt. Scott Community Center, including the indoor pool, is getting an update and will be closed until some time in 2025.

3. City of Astoria Aquatic Center

This spot in beautiful Astoria is an excellent Oregon indoor water park equipped with four pools, including a lap pool, a recreation pool with a lazy river, a hot tub for adults, and a kiddie pool.

4. Emigrant Lake County Park, Rogue Valley

Editor's note: Unfortunately, the water slide at Emigrant Lake is permanently closed.

5. Evergreen Wings & Waves, McMinnville

Evergreen Wings and Waves Waterpark is unique in that the waterslides come out of a big airplane. There are long, twisty indoor waterslides and spacious swimming pools that will bring out the kid in everyone. Take a look at all the fun there is to have here:

6. North Clackamas Aquatic Park

This aquatic park features Oregon's largest indoor wave pool, a shallow splash area, a 29-foot rock climbing wall, and three water slides.

7. Pendleton Aquatic Center, Pendleton

This family-friendly outdoor water park has two large water slides, smaller ones, three pools - including a zero-depth entry pool, a 50-meter lap pool, and a diving well.

8. Jamison Square, Portland

Definitely on the lighter side of a water park experience, the fountain at Jamison Square can make for a great impromptu wading area on hot, summer days.

9. Splash! At Lively Park, Springfield
