An Easy But Gorgeous Hike, Toketee Falls Trail Leads To A Little-Known River In Oregon

There are so many hidden treasures in Oregon. The Toketee Falls trail, near Idleyld Park in Umpqua National Park, is one of the many special spots to check out when you visit the state

This popular out-and-back trail is just under one mile. Aside from the gorgeous foliage and vantage points during the hike, your jaw will drop when you reach Toketee Falls. This stunning waterfall is just over 100 feet and leads into the North Umpqua River.

To reach Toketee Falls Trailhead, take I-138 East and follow the signs or your GPS. The trail is also about three hours southeast of Eugene, Oregon.

This hiking trail is rated easy and is a great destination for everyone in your family.

If your dog is on a leash, they can join you on this picturesque hike too.

As you stroll down the trail, take a moment to check out how the flowers grow along the Tokette Pipeline along the route.

The pipeline is used to distribute some of the water from the Umpqua River to a power station.

One of the first points of interest is the waterfall from this landing. It's a great spot to get some memorable photos of your outing too.

Even though the hike is short, plan to spend some time enjoying the waterfall.

The basin of the waterfall, which looks like a heart, is about 85 feet deep.

Once the water hits the basin, it then flows into the North Umpqua River.
