The wooden boardwalk ventures into the lush and verdant forests of the Oregon Coast, a unique ecosystem of towering giants and emerald ferns, unruly mosses, and primeval swamps and marshes.

The headlining tree is a staggering 154 feet in height and almost 50 feet in circumference. This magnificent old cedar resides within a swath of old-growth coastal bog, surrounded by other large Sitka spruce and western red-cedar trees.

True to its name, everything about this trail is larger than life, too, from the massive plants and greenery to the abundant insects and wildlife! This is the type of trail where you'll want to take your time and be willing to stop and enjoy all of the sights and sounds that come your way.
