Located on the edge of the Siuslaw National Forest in Yachats, this enchanting garden spans 3.5 acres.

A trail winds through the garden, taking visitors past a rich variety of plant specimens.

You'll walk across a bridge over Mitchell Creek, taking in stunning natural beauty along the way.

The garden was started in 1981 by Jim and Janice Gerdemann as a place to test the hardiness of rare and unusual plants.

Today, the garden contains a significant collection of flora, all nestled in a coastal habitat.

These silk tassels (Garrya elliptica) are native to the central Oregon coast and are always a fascinating sight.
