Oregon’s Forest Park Is A Picture Perfect Escape Into Nature

Located in Portland, Forest Park is among the largest city parks in the country. This woodsy, 5,157-acre park is full of lush green foliage, peaceful hiking trails, glittering streams, and more. It's a perfect place to escape into nature without even leaving the city.

Hidden in the west hills of Portland, Forest Park is a stunning natural oasis.

This amazing place is over 5,000 acres large, and it's full of tranquil forest scenery that will make you feel like you're far from civilization.

Here, you'll find wonderful trails passing babbling creeks, switchbacking across fern-covered hills, opening onto grassy parks, and navigating deep into shady green forests.

One of the most popular trails weaving through the park is the gorgeous Wildwood Trail.

It's 30 miles long, with many different entry and exit points. Winding through lush green forests and along glittering streams, you'll find all kinds of amazing sights.

It also passes by the historic Pittock Mansion, a gorgeous mansion-turned-museum built in 1909. On a clear day, the view from Pittock Mansion is absolutely astounding.

There are over 70 miles of hiking trails in the park altogether, including many other gems like the Ridge Trail (pictured below), Maple Trail, Lower Maple Trail, Firelane 12, and more.

Full of lush foliage, chirping birds, and tranquil woodsy scenery, Forest Park is a wonderful place to visit any time of year.
