Have you been searching Oklahoma's lakes over and over looking for one with a nice sandy beach? I know the task isn't easy, so I set out to find one, and you'll be happy to know I discovered a gem that is absolutely worth visiting. Foss Lake in western Oklahoma features an area known as Sunset Beach that is the perfect spot to lounge around the lake and enjoy the sandy beach and swimming area. Let's check it out!

Foss Lake is located in Foss State Park at 10252 Highway 44 in Foss, Oklahoma.

The park boasts 1,749 acres of land and 8,800 acres of water. There's over 60 miles of shoreline on Foss Lake - the largest lake in western Oklahoma.

One of the best places to enjoy the shoreline is at Sunset Beach - a sandy beach with five palapaas, grills, fire rings, comfort stations with showers and more.

Bring your lounge chairs, beach towels, sunscreen and food and enjoy a full day at this beautiful sandy beach.

You can also rent pontoon boats at the marina and enjoy a day out on the lake or on the shore.

Or you can spend the weekend camping at the campground on site. Drive the R.V. to Foss Lake or pitch a tent right by the lake for an incredible camping experience.

There's also mountain biking, hiking and horseback riding for guests to enjoy.

Don't forget the fishing poles! There's lots of places to fish from the shore at Foss Lake or the marina also offers an indoor fishing dock when the weather isn't cooperating.
