One Of Oklahoma’s Most Beautiful Nature Parks Is A Hidden Gem Only Locals Know About

Ray Harral Nature Park in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, offers scenic trails, a suspension bridge, and a nature center, making it a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts.

Tucked away in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma is a 40-acre park that only locals know about. It's filled with walking and jogging trails, a suspension bridge, flowering gardens, a nature center, and picturesque scenery. It's especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves change colors, so plan a trip to this hidden gem for a fun autumn day trip.

Ray Harral Nature Park is located at 7101 South 3rd Street in Broken Arrow, on 121st Street between Elm Place and Lynn Lane.

It's not very often you find suspension bridges in Oklahoma, so it's fun when you discover a new one. This one is tucked away in the middle of the foliage in the nature park and it makes for the perfect stroll.

The trail system in the park extends over 3 miles and offers easy and strenuous sections.

On-site you'll find a small Nature Center with hands-on displays, live animals, a classroom, and a peaceful deck overlooking the park.

And you never know what special visitors you'll see lurking around. Keep an eye out for lizards, tarantulas, tree frogs, gold fish, and a live turtle.

Even in the winter when the trees are bare, the park is still lovely. There are plenty of park benches along the paths to sit and enjoy the scenery or watch the birds and wildlife.

Ray Harral Nature Park is run by the city of Broken Arrow and features several special events throughout the year.

The park is open year-round from 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. and the Nature Center is open November - February from 8:00 a.m. - 5 p.m. and from March - October from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
