Oklahoma has an average of 234 days per year that are predominantly sunny. The average for the U.S., as a whole, is 205 days per year.  After looking at the data from Sterling's Best Places, here are 10 cities in Oklahoma that have the highest average sunny days per year.

1. Guymon

Guymon has an average of 255 sunny days each year and is located in the Oklahoma Panhandle.

2. Elk City

Elk City has an average of 248 sunny days each year and is located in the western part of the state.

3. Altus

Altus has an average of 244 sunny days each year and is located in the southwestern part of the state.

4. Lawton

Lawton has an average of 241 sunny days each year and is located in the southwestern part of the state.

5. Duncan

Duncan has an average of 241 sunny days each year and is located in the southern part of the state.

6. Woodward

Woodward has an average of 240 sunny days each year and is located in the northwestern part of the state.

7. Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City has an average of 237 sunny days each year and is located in the central part of the state.

8. Ardmore

Ardmore has an average of 237 sunny days each year and is located in the southern part of the state.

9. Weatherford

Weatherford has an average of 236 sunny days each year and is located in the western part of the state.

10. Shawnee

Shawnee has an average of 235 sunny days each year and is located in the central part of the state.
