The Mesmerizing Christmas Display In Ohio With Over 1 Million Glittering Lights

The holiday season is a magical time in Ohio. Small towns are full of Christmas cheer, twinkling lights are everywhere and our most beautiful attractions are downright enchanting. (Even our caves are decked out!) Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens in Akron is a must-visit this time of year. Its annual Deck The Hall display features more than 1 million lights, making it one of Ohio's most majestic winter wonderlands year after year.

One of our state's most beloved historic homes is absolutely magical every Christmas. Deck The Hall at Stan Hywet Hall is a holiday bucket list item you don't want to pass up.

You'll find it at 714 North Portage Path, Akron OH 44303.

This year, you can attend Deck The Hall on select evenings over the holiday season from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Specifically, the evenings you can attend are November 24-26 and the following December dates: 1-3, 7-10, 14-23 and 26-30.

Inside, the mansion is unbelievably beautiful. Christmas trees abound and the elaborately decorated rooms have never looked so cozy.

This year, the mansion will be decked out in the theme of "Postcards from the Past."

You'll also find some fun displays inside that children will love. Other activities include visits with Santa and Rudolph, family photos, shopping, live music, a nightly tree lighting and more.

Freshly baked gingerbread cookies, warm pretzels, cocoa, hot cider, beer and wine are also available for purchase in the Courtyard, according to the manor's website.

Outside, the magic continues. Ticket prices for this magical event vary according to age, date and member status. Children 5 and under are free.

Children will particularly love strolling through Gingerbread Land, pictured below. You'll also want to make sure you stop and watch the outdoor light show, which is choreographed to three holiday songs.
