The Incredible Farm in Ohio Where You Can Pick Buckets of Berries

Pick buckets and buckets of juicy berries all summer long at Blooms and Berries, a beautiful u-pick farm in Loveland, Ohio.

There's something so grounding and glorious about a day spent on a farm. While I adore any time spent outdoors, I have a special love for farms that I trace back to childhood drives to see my mom's family up in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Now, as a mom of four living in Southwest Ohio, I'll take any chance I can get to visit a local farm.

Happily, one of the best farms in all of Ohio is just a quick road trip from my home in Cincinnati: Blooms & Berries Farm Market. As its name suggests, this Ohio farm specializes in, well, blooms and berries, with the latter taking center stage all summer long and offering visitors the opportunity to pick buckets (and buckets) of sweet, juicy berries. Every year, the warmth and rain of spring usher in the sweetest season of the year in Ohio: summer berry season!

Why Blooms and Berries Is One of the Best Farms in Ohio

My all-time favorite U-Pick berry farm in Ohio is Blooms & Berries Farm Market in Loveland. I first visited this gem of a farm when my oldest was just four years old, and in the almost decade since, my family has grown, and Blooms & Berries has become one of our most beloved destinations—especially in the summer, when visitors are invited to come and pick buckets and buckets of berries at this Ohio farm! This delightful family destination was established in 1999, and ever since, it's been sharing delightful, locally grown produce, plants, and other goods to locals and visitors alike.

What to Expect During Berry Picking Season

The first strawberries of the season start popping up in mid-May, with U-Pick opportunities through mid-June, depending on the weather. Something Blooms & Berries does that's really helpful is offer a text sign-up so you can be "first in the field!" There's even an entire festival devoted to these delicious berries! Strawberry Days at Blooms & Berries features loads of fruit-themed family fun, friendly farm animals, and, of course, lots of sweet treats. Strawberry Days is scheduled for this year between May 16th and May 31st, 2026.

Tips for Visiting This Ohio Berry Farm

Back to U-Pick: for strawberries specifically, you'll pay a small amount for a field pass, and then berries cost $5.99/lb. The farm uses an online ticketing system to balance the number of pickers with available ripe fruit to ensure every picker has a delightful experience. And believe me when I tell you that berry picking at Blooms & Berries is a truly delightful experience. Some of my favorite memories with my kids involve us traipsing up and down the farm's rows of bold red berries!

Another tip: be sure to dress comfortably. This is an authentic, working farm, so in order to navigate the at-times uneven terrain, supportive shoes are recommended. The farm stays open during light rain or mist, but will let you know if your ticketed event has been canceled due to weather.

If you can't make it to this Ohio farm for strawberry u-pick, don't fret: Blooms & Berries has u-pick blueberries from mid-June through early July and u-pick blackberries from mid-July through early August! Oh—and if you're feeling like doing some digging rather than picking, Blooms & Berries offers U-Dig Potatoes in July, which sounds like a pretty awesome adventure to me!

Other Fun Things To Do at Blooms & Berries Farm Market

Curious what else there is to explore on the farm? The short answer: a lot. Before your visit, check out their calendar of events to know what might be happening on any given weekend. The Market Barn and Garden Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there's even a play yard and petting farm that's perfect for the little ones. This is a seasonal attraction that's typically open between early May and the end of August. Looking for something a bit more low-key? You're invited to pack a picnic and enjoy it in the covered picnic area, with lovely outdoor views.

From strawberries to blueberries to blackberries, make it a berry delicious summer by visiting this Ohio farm for buckets and buckets of the season's sweetest harvest! For more information and U-Pick opportunities, visit the Blooms & Berries website and be sure to give Blooms & Berries a follow on Facebook for crop updates and field conditions.
