Carolina Beach Boardwalk has been named one of the 10 most beautiful boardwalks in the country. If you're looking for some stunning scenery, tasty treats, and entertainment that's suitable for everyone in the family, a stroll down this seaside boardwalk is all you need. Take a look:
Located on Pleasure Island, the Carolina Beach Boardwalk is the perfect place for a stroll.
Address: Carolina Beach Avenue, Carolina Beach, NC, 28428
The boardwalk has survived both a fire and a hurricane, and its still a vital part of the community here. Many North Carolina families have been coming here for generations.
The boardwalk stretches down the beach, providing both scenic views and plenty of entertainment.
Spend some time just strolling along, enjoying the fresh air and the ocean breeze.
Take a break on one of the benches or boardwalk swings along the way. You can gaze out at the ocean, or people watch.
If you take your stroll early in the morning, you'll find fewer crowds and might even find an illusive bit of solitude.
When the weather gets a little too warm, grab an ice cream at Krazy Kones.
The creamy vanilla ice cream is swirled with a variety of different flavors for a colorful, tasty treat. Krazy Kones also has all kinds of candy and popcorn.
If it's excitement and entertainment you're looking for, you have plenty of options. Spend some time at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk Amusement Park, where you can ride the Ferris wheel to catch an eagle's eye view of the action below.
I loved how the Ferris wheel lit up at night. It was probably the most enchanting part of the Carolina Beach Boardwalk amusement park.
And, of course, if you’ve brought children and are looking for things to do at Carolina Beach Boardwalk, the swings were a big hit, too! My daughter loved them.
Take one of the beach access boardwalks to the long stretch of sand, lay out your towel and pitch your umbrella.
You can spend hours just loafing on this gorgeous beach!
When it's time for another treat, stand in line for a Britt's donut (or a half dozen). Trust us, it's worth the wait.
This iconic donut shop opened back in 1939, and it's still serving its basic glazed donuts that are downright addictive.
Don't miss the summer concerts held every Thursday, plus some special holiday concerts on July 3rd and August 30th. The concerts are free, and they're followed by fireworks.
Visitors have been taking selfies at the Carolina Beach Crescent Moon before they even called them selfies, and you'll certainly want to honor this time-tested tradition before you head for home.
If you have the chance to visit one of the most beautiful boardwalks in the US, don’t miss out! I had a wonderful time and I know you will, too.
