9 Water Wonderlands In Buffalo That Will Take Your Summer To A Whole New Level

School's (almost) out for the summer, and we cannot wait for the summer weather to be here to stay so we can enjoy everything that the season in the 716 has to offer! First and foremost summertime activity: all the water-centric fun!. In celebration of sweet summertime on the horizon, here are nine water wonderlands in Buffalo that will take your summer to a whole new level.

1. Canalside Paddleboats

Summer hasn't officially started yet, but summer hours are back at Canalside! You can enjoy the waterfront daily from 8 AM to 10 PM. For a real water wonderland experience, head down to rent a paddle boat on weekends from 10 AM to 8 PM. (Daily rentals start June 23, 2018)

2. Water Bikes of Buffalo

The same rules apply for pedal boat rentals from Water Bikes of Buffalo! These unique water vessels are great exercise and offer even better views of the city.

4. Buffalo CycleBoats

Speaking of pedaling... Take a tour on a Buffalo CycleBoat and bring some friends along for the ride! CycleBoat tours take off from 301 Ohio Street.

3. BFLO Harbor Kayaks

While you're downtown, head to 1 Naval Park Cove to rent a kayak from BFLO Harbor Kayak. Paddle your way near the grain silos as you take in the sights of Buffalo from your very own floating water wonderland.

5. Buffalo Tiki Tours

Experience Buffalo's water wonderlands with island vibes onboard a Buffalo Tiki Tour. These tours set sail from RiverWorks, though you'll feel like you've been whisked away to your own private island oasis!

6. MoondanceCat

The MoondanceCat is another water wonderland that will make you feel like you're on vacation. This 45 passenger catamaran is the first of its kind in the Northeastern U.S. and sets sail right here in Buffalo at 329 Erie Street.

7. Buffalo River History Tours

Learn about Buffalo's history along the waterways that built our city on a Buffalo River History Tour. These tours are educational, entertaining, and offer amazing views of the city! Tours embark from 44 Prime Street.

8. MLK Jr. Park Splash Pads

If being ON the water isn't your thing, there are still plenty of water wonderlands to enjoy in the Queen City! Head to one of the area's many splash pads and public pools to cool down without hopping on board any boats. One of our favorite places to spend a sunny summer day is MLK Jr. Park. The splash pad is full of fun (and lots of giggles from mini Buffalonians)!

9. Woodlawn Beach State Park

Life's a beach. Soak up the sunshine at Woodlawn Beach State Park. This park offers a great sandy beach area, tiki bar, beach volleyball court, nature trails, and a beach playground. With so much to do, this water wonderland will provide plenty of summer fun for an entire day!
