You can find all sorts of wildlife, beautiful views, and – of course – a short and sweet trail all in one spot.

Before you head out, there are a few rules you should be aware of.

Sorry, four-legged friends - you have to sit this one out. There are no dogs allowed at Times Beach in an effort to protect the wildlife that lives here. There is also no fishing, bicycling, swimming, or driving motor vehicles allowed within the preserve.

Okay - let's get to the good stuff! The walking at Times Beach is some of the best you'll find in Buffalo.

There are a few options to get your steps in at Times Beach.

All the trails you'll find here are short, sweet, and perfect for any skill level or athletic ability.

And when we say these trails are short, we mean it!

If you explore all of them, you'll be walking for less than three-quarters of a mile.

The Stone Path is one of the longer and more popular trails.

This path leads along the perimeter of the preserve. One of the best features of Times Beach are the overlooks, and you'll find two of them off the Stone Path!

The birding blind at the edge of the Boardwalk at Times Beach is another short and sweet trail.

You'll want to be sure to bring your cameras on your walk at this preserve!

There are several species of birds that call Times Beach home, and the birding blind is the best place to spot them!

You'll find informational signs at the birding blind and along the trails to help you identify the wildlife you may encounter.

Spring and summer are some of the best seasons to head to this nature preserve, as the wildlife begins to return home from their winter migrations.

The Outer Harbor Trail, while less rustic than the other options, is also a popular walk.

You'll still get a unique view of Times Beach and the city from the Outer Harbor Trail.

A casual stroll on these short and sweet trail might just be what the doctor ordered.
