Hidden along a winding small town road in Cazenovia, Chittenango Falls State Park is where you can discover one of New York's most magical waterfalls.

Covering nearly 200 acres, this quiet little state park offers picnic tables and grassy areas where you can get a view of the top of Chittenango Falls and the creek. The top view of the falls is wheelchair accessible.

But visitors of the park can also take a staircase down to the base of the falls, where you can get a whole new look at this 167-foot tall waterfall!

This lovely view of the falls requires little effort and no major hiking extravaganzas. While you listen to the roar of the falls, you'll make your way to the bottom of the stairs in just a matter of minutes.

Once you reach the bottom of the staircase, you'll get to cross the footbridge that goes over Chittenango Creek. Here, you'll have the perfect viewing platform to fully see the falls in all their glory.

Thankfully, Chittenango Falls is one waterfall that you won't often see running dry, always making for a great adventure to take no matter the time of year. In the winter, icicles frame the falls and make for an even more magical viewing experience.
