The Farmers Almanac Predicts Winter 2020 In New York Will Have Frigid Temps And Above Average Amounts Of Snow

Farmers' Almanac predicts a frosty and slushy winter for New York State with significant snowfall and storms.

As much as we'd like to cling onto summer and the gorgeous fall foliage, before we know it, winter will be arriving as it's just around the corner. If the shorter days weren't already enough of a sign about what's on the horizon, then the fact that the Farmers Almanac has released their 2020 predictions sure is a sign that winter's almost here! Bundle up and grab your electric blankets, because New York's upcoming winter is predicted to be quite frigid.

What the Farmers Almanac is calling a Polar Coaster, the Northeast is predicted to be hit by a significantly frigid and snowy winter.

According to this year's predictions made by the Farmers Almanac, New York can expect to see an absurdly cold winter.

This year, you'll want to break out all your winter gear, from scarves and earmuffs to sturdy gloves and warm boots, because areas in New York (specifically out near the Great Lakes) are due to see freefalling, frigid temperatures.

As if the colder-than-normal temperatures weren't intimidating enough, the Farmers Almanac also predicts that we'll see quite a significant amount of snow.

From this year's reports, you can prepare to bundle up even further between the last week of January and the beginning of February.

Giving us a mix of snow and sleet, this is certainly gearing up to be a winter that New Yorkers will always remember.

Another thing you might not be too happy about? According to the Farmers Almanac, you can also expect winter to linger on a bit longer than usual this year, giving spring a bit of a late start for 2020.

Break out the salt and shovels, because if the Farmers Almanac's predictions are right, we're in for a winter doozy!
