Exactly 80-miles south of Buffalo, this fall you'll want to take the scenic drive down to the Three Sisters Trailhead.
Inside the more than 60,000-acre Allegany State Park, you'll find the Quaker Area that's made up of enchanting hiking trails, Quaker Lake, Bear Caves...
...Thunder Rocks, and a mass supply of campsites and cozy cabins that are available to rent all throughout the year.
By all of those charming cabins and the rental office though, you'll find the trailhead for the Three Sisters Loop Trail.
The 2.5 mile-long hiking trail brings you to an elevation of nearly 2,000-feet, where along the way you'll pass by unique natural wonders.
While you may not be doing any strenuous trekking to the top of a large mountain, the trail is one that's known to be slightly tricky to navigate due to all the rocky areas and roots that stick out along the way. So, be sure to keep an eye out while those colorful fall leaves are coating the trail!
Taking you away from Quaker Lake and out into the vibrant forest, you'll be happy to have found your ultimate fall oasis while hiking through the southwestern area of Allegany State Park.
