With the month of June now less than a week away, New York's summertime weather is finally starting to make a consistent appearance. The fun really begins though once you reach this slightly eerie sight, where you'll begin to actually enter the Lockport Caves.

Down the rabbit hole you'll go as you walk through a 1,600-foot water tunnel that was blasted out of solid rock in the mid-1800s.

Finally, you'll reach America's longest underground boat ride that maintains a cool 65-degree temperature all year long.

Lit up by small electric lights, you'll glide right across the water to get an up-close look at the cave during this 70-minute long adventure.

Operating from May through October, Lockport Cave & Underground Boat Ride only requires a good pair of comfortable walking shoes and the will to explore an underground world! Not only is the underground cave boat ride an unforgettable adventure, it's also an affordable one too!
