Some of New York's most beautiful trails are the ones that will take you through our jaw-dropping gorges. There's nothing like reaching the summit of one of our mountains, but sometimes all we need is an extraordinary walk by the water. Recently, we talked about 13 Gorgeous Waterfront Trails that are perfect for summer and there's one we left off of the list just so we could feature it today.
Tucked below Cayuga Lake in one of our favorite cities, you'll find an enchanting gorge trail that you'll want to cross off of your bucket list:
Found right in Ithaca, the Cascadilla Gorge Trail is a roughly 1.3 mile adventure that will take you someplace special.

The trail was originally donated to our well-known Cornell University back in 1909 by Robert H. Treman!
Currently, Cornell Plantations manages the trail and has done a wonderful job of preserving this stunning piece of New York.
Throughout its history, the focus of this beautiful gorge has been to educate visitors on nature, all while preserving the area itself and allowing everyone to enjoy this incredible trail.
