This trail inside the Bandelier National Monument is almost too beautiful for words.
The Main Loop trail is a 1.2-mile loop that's perfect for everyone.
This trail isn't just beautiful, it also leads you through ancient archeological sites.
These small hand-made caves date back to over 100,000 years ago when hunter-gatherers migrated across the canyons and mesas.
The ancient people built permanent homes which still stand today, and you can explore them yourself.
This trail heads over log crossings and through caves within the Frijoles Canyon.
The loop also will lead you past sites like the Big Kiva, Tyuonyi, Talus House, and Long House.
This is the only trail in the area in which snow is removed in the winter, so it's the perfect hike all year long.
If you're looking for an easy hike with an amazingly unique history, this cave hike is the perfect choice.
