Located in Franconia Notch State Park, Falling Waters Trail is a 5.6-mile trail that is beloved for its gorgeous water features and challenging terrain.
You’ll start your hike on relatively even footing, but the path quickly becomes rocky. You’ll need to be prepared to do some scrambling on this hike.
Be sure you wear sturdy boots with good grip, as a little rain can make the rocks on the path very slippery. Watch where you step!
Still, this path is popular with adventurous hikers for a reason. The stunning waterfall near the base of the trail is truly like something out of a fairytale. Feel free to pause here and rest your legs before continuing the ascent of Little Haystack.
