Make 2024 The Year Of Exploration On These Two New Cave Tours In Nevada

Great Basin National Park is incredible! This is one of the most remote national parks in the Lower 48 but it's absolutely worth the journey. There's so much to see and do in this park, and you're sure to find it breathtaking and spectacular. One of the biggest attractions at this national park is Lehman Caves. This cave system is the longest cave system in the state of Nevada, and it's full of unique formations that were created over millions of years by water. The park plans to introduce two all-new Lehman Caves tours in 2024. Read on to learn more.

Great Basin National Park is so special. It's on the border of Utah and Nevada but is wholly in Nevada. It's kind of out there - but that's what makes it so great.

People flock from all over the nation and the world to view the starry skies from this park. Because it's so remote, the sky is so dark, and that means that you'll be able to see more stars there than almost anywhere.

People also come to Great Basin National Park to view its bristlecone pines. These trees are thousands of years old and are some of the oldest living things on the planet.

Perhaps the biggest draw of this park, though, are the Lehman Caves. These caves are vast and beautiful, and there are many park tours that will take you right down into them.

Park rangers tell visitors about the creation and features of the cave. You'll learn a great deal on these tours, and you'll be able to view the caves' unique formations up close and personal with your own eyes.

In 2024, Great Basin National Park is expanding its cave tours to include two new options.

The Gothic Palace tour will allow visitors with time constraints or mobility challenges to experience a 30-minute cave tour.

The Wild Cave Tour will give visitors a chance to explore less developed parts of the caves. This tour will be strenuous and difficult and will last three hours, but if you take it on, you'll be able to see parts of the caves that most people have never seen before.
