You May Not Like These Predictions About Nebraska’s Positively Frigid Upcoming Winter

It's no secret that Nebraska faces some pretty tough winters. And according to recent predictions by the Old Farmer's Almanac, winter of 2017 will be no exception. For years, folks have used these estimates to plan around the colder months. Here's some more information about the particularly cold winter that Nebraska has in store.

According to the Almanac, predictions for winter are looking nothing short of frigid.

The coldest stretches of winter will take place starting mid-December and continue through January.

This means that you can expect the average low temperatures this winter (typically 34 degrees F) to be even lower.

Northern Nebraska will be especially effected by these weather patterns, while southern portions of the state will experience a relatively average winter.

The heaviest snowfall will occur starting as early as November and continuing on through mid to late February.

Fortunately, spring will bring about weather that is slightly warmer than normal, as life begins to return back to the high plains.
