The model railroad garden opens for the season on Saturdays and Sundays beginning in April and operates daily from May through October.

Watch as Lauritzen Gardens trains chug over bridges, through tunnels, and beside replicas of Omaha's favorite landmarks.

The little G-scale model runs on tracks that go through rocks and water features.

And it passes by a tiny replica of Omaha, complete with recognizable buildings and landmarks.

The entire set is built from natural materials, such as acorns, gourds, and pinecones.

The setting seems as much a part of nature as a creation by humans.

As you walk along the walkway near the railroad garden, you'll see the trains passing by overhead.

It's actually not just one train running these miniature tracks - seven model trains traverse this fun little railroad.
