This Rural Pumpkin Farm In Nebraska Is The Classic Fall Experience You Need

Country Harvest Pumpkin Patch near Hastings, Nebraska, offers a variety of fall activities and attractions for families.

One of the best parts of fall in Nebraska is the wealth of pumpkin farms all over the state. There are great ones everywhere, but this one near Hastings is a definite fan favorite.

Country Harvest Pumpkin Patch is located just outside of Hastings in a charming rural setting.

2018 is the pumpkin patch's 20th season in operation, and this year there are more activities and attractions than ever before.

There are, of course, pumpkins everywhere you look. You can pick your own or choose from pre-picked pumpkins.

But before you load up your arms with gourds, be sure to experience all of the other fun things Country Harvest has to offer. There's a big corn maze to wind your way through...

...and a trike track to pedal your way around. Once you pay for your admission, the rest of the activities are free, including a hayrack ride.

There are several kids' play areas where the little ones can run off some energy while Mom and Dad sit back and watch...or maybe join in!

Two jump pads give bigger kids and little kids separate places to catch some air. The Hillside Slide, "wave" riders, kids' cow train, and lots of other activities will keep the whole family busy all day.

The Prairie Plunge is like a zip line with a chair, and it's a fun, thrilling ride.

Meet some new friends in the petting zoo...

...and connect with old friends over a variety of fun fall-themed games.

Food trucks and various food treats are available for purchase.

One of our favorite parts of Country Harvest Pumpkin Patch is the Sweet Shoppe. Find homemade fudge, a brownie sundae, or delicious kettle corn - and don't pass up the homemade ice cream! There are 12 flavors to choose from, but if you want the classic fall experience, go for the pumpkin pie flavor.

You'll find Country Harvest Pumpkin Patch at 331 Road 310, Glenvil, NE (directly southeast of Hastings). For more information on the activities, hours, and special events, check out the website or Facebook page. They're open through October 28th, so get there before they close down for the season!
