The Longest Elevated Canopy Walk In Nebraska Can Be Found At Arbor Day Farm

Arbor Day Farm in Nebraska City offers a unique Tree Adventure with a canopy walk, treehouses, and a WonderNet play area.

Nebraska is where Arbor Day began, and you can experience that legacy at Arbor Day Farm in Nebraska City. Besides a huge orchard where you can pick your own apples, a restaurant serving delicious snacks and meals, and a store with all kinds of local products (including fruit wine!), the farm features a totally unique trek through the treetops.

The Tree House Trail is where the Tree Adventure begins. You'll pass by some immersive play areas on the way to the Treetop Village - we highly recommend taking some time to explore them all!

As you follow the trail, you'll notice the treehouses appearing above you and you'll know you're in for a truly unique experience.

The canopy walk is the only one of its kind in the entire country. It spans more than three acres and takes you to 11 unique treehouses along the way.

Make your way across the suspended walkways and marvel at the gorgeous surroundings. No matter what season you visit, the trees at Arbor Day Farm are always breathtaking.

There are surprises around every turn up here. Several different types of walkways will get you from one forest treehouse to the next, including solid bridges and rope walkways.

Each of the 11 treehouses is a little different, and each offers the unique opportunity to learn and observe your surroundings. And since Arbor Day Farm is full of gorgeous trees, there's no shortage of sights to marvel at.

The village isn't all about traversing the walkways among the treetops, of course. There's also a 50-foot slide that's thrilling fun for everyone. But the most loved feature - among the younger visitors, anyway - is the WonderNet. This huge raised play area is the first of its kind in the U.S. and offers space to bounce, play, and just enjoy being outdoors.

There really is no end to the Treetop Village fun. Even after you've explored all of the walkways, enjoyed all of the treehouses, bounced on the WonderNet, and slid down the slide, you'll want to take the journey again and again.

Parts of the Tree Adventure and Treetop Village are accessible for wheelchair users; contact Arbor Day Farm with any questions. The Treetop Village walk is included in the price of the Tree Adventure. It's highly recommended to purchase your tickets online in advance as there's no guarantee there will be time slots available when you arrive. The Tree Adventure and Treetop Village are open year-round; explore Arbor Day Farm's website for more information.
