Nashville is nothing if not a rallying cry for the young and the restless, the dreamers and the wane-faced professionals seeking respite from the workday. It's a city that knows how to fill a social calendar, and this summer Cheekwood Estate & Gardens has introduced a brand new weekly event: Thirsty Third Thursday. The event began in mid-June and will continue into mid-autumn. Learn more about the experience below, and buy tickets for yourself! It's an experience best enjoyed with friends, of course.
Cheekwood Estate is perhaps best known for its expansive gardens, a lush haven for locals and visitors alike who are looking for a quiet oasis in the bustling city of Nashville. The art museum and gardens host thousands of visitors every year, and it has become a prime spot to visit during the Christmas season during its light show.
This year, Thirsty Third Thursday is bound to make a summery splash. Cheekwood has introduced a series of cocktail crawls available on a ticketed basis to their already impressive social calendar.
Every third Thursday of the month, the location will host a rotating number of food trucks and live music performers in addition to a signature cocktail menu. Beginning at 5 p.m., you can enjoy featured fare to the sound of Nashville’s latest and greatest musicians, and you’ll even have the chance to enjoy cocktails at different locations throughout the estate.
Every event will host a new series of cocktails, but this past June visitors were able to enjoy drinks like Soaring Sweet Tea, made with sweet tea, vodka, and lemonade, and Peanut Butter Polar Bears made with Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey and berry flavored seltzer.
It’s a brand new event in an age-old Nashville venue, one that’s been lauded both locally and on a national basis. We will warn you, though. The feeling of holiday is catching on-site, and you may just find yourself visiting next month too!
The next Thirsty Third Thursday will occur on July 15th, 2021, and tickets are $20 for members of the Cheekwood Estate and $40 for non-members.
Cheekwood Gardens is truly a great place for folks to experience the fun and excitement of Tennessee, and you can learn more about it with a visit to its official Facebook page and website. Keep an eye on that social calendar, too! There's a little something for everyone, and the opportunities change each season.
