This Missouri Waterfall Is So Hidden, Almost Nobody Has Seen It In Person

Discover a hidden waterfall on the Marble Creek section of the Ozark Trail in Missouri's Mark Twain National Forest.

Chasing waterfalls is pretty easy in Missouri. After all, many of its cascades, including Rocky Falls and Joplin Falls, are easy to reach via short but sweet trails. Countless unnamed waterfalls that dot the landscape, on the other hand, aren't always as easy to reach. Next time you're up for a bit of an adventure, set off on a picturesque path that leads to a hidden Missouri waterfall.

Nestled within the Marble Creek Recreation Area in Mark Twain National Forest, the Ozark Trail's Marble Creek section leads to stunning natural beauty, including a hidden Missouri waterfall.

Few people see the gorgeous cascade, because the trek is moderately-challenging, and it's long, tallying more than 17 miles. However, hikers assert you can complete it within around eight hours.

If you're up for the challenge, you'll be rewarded with gorgeous natural scenery just about every step of the way.

You'll probably want to set off early in the day, and make sure you have all of the necessities - water, food, sunscreen, and bug spray.

Wear a pair of sturdy hiking boots or shoes, too, as some of the trail can be extremely rocky.

Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including deer and wild boar as you pass both Crane Lake and Marble Creek.

The highlight of the trail is the hidden waterfall, which gently tumbles into a tranquil pool.

The trail runs through a remote section of the forest, so you may be lucky enough to have the waterfall to yourself.
