There are very few places we can find a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. In Cambridge, one peaceful place to escape to is Fresh Pond Reservation. Around a pond, this park offers a wonderful paved loop trail in Massachusetts and a place to get some exercise and fresh air in the city.
When you need a quiet escape from the city of Cambridge, where do you go? One incredible place to consider visiting, if you haven't already been, is Fresh Pond Reservation.
At Fresh Pond Reservation, 162 acres of protected land surround the absolutely beautiful 155-acre Fresh Pond Reservoir.
This is a popular spot in the city for walking, hiking, biking, and birdwatching. During certain times of the day, you may even be able to spot deer and other woodland creatures.
While this can be a busy park, you'll still be able to find moments of peace and quiet along the paved loop trail.
Throughout the hike, you'll be able to take in the scenery. From nature to city views, you'll enjoy what you see.
The loop around the pond will take less than an hour, that is, unless you stop every once in a while to enjoy the peaceful scenery that surrounds you.
If you enjoy golf, you can come and play on the Fresh Pond Golf Course. This nine-hole public golf course welcomes all who have an interest in the sport! Regardless, you'll see the golf course while hiking along the paved loop trail.
