This charming lavender farm is tucked away in the woods of Harwich.

It’s one of the largest on the East Coast, with over 14,000 plants and 60 acres of fragrant grounds and walking trails.

The farm is well off the beaten path, but so worth discovering.

The farm is totally open to the public. You can wander through the blooming plants, spread out a picnic blanket or stroll the lovely paths around the farm.

Children will love the whimsical fairy castle, and you’ll love the heavenly aroma.

There's a tiny cottage beside the fields. Inside, you’ll find a lovely array of homemade lavender goods.

The ceiling of the shop is strung with twinkling lights and fragrant lavender. You'll feel like you're in a lavender cave.

Take home some lavender lemon marmalade for a breakfast that tastes like summer magic.

Fresh and dried lavender is also sold in bunches, along with essential oils, body products, candles and even lavender-scented toys.

The best time to visit is in the late spring and early summer. The harvest happens in June and July, so visit before then to see the plants in bloom.
