Leading to both a lake and a castle, you'll want to spend hours exploring on this fairy-tale adventure.

There's a gorgeous four-mile loop trail that will take you on an adventure like no other in Massachusetts. Located in Haverhill, Winnekenni Park is home to both a lake and a castle.

Winnekenni Park Conservation Area covers more than 700 acres. On the property, you can take the easy Winnekenni Trail to a pond as well as Kenoza Lake and Winnekenni Castle.

You'll want to set aside enough time to explore everything along this fairy tale trail -- it's absolutely beautiful!

While you can enjoy the water views at Kenoza Lake, boating, swimming, and fishing are prohibited. However, you will be able to see plenty of waterfowl swimming around!

If you do want to go fishing, swimming, or boating, you can do so at Plug Pond. It's a great spot to have a picnic as well.

And then there's the castle. Built between 1873-1875, this castle was designed as a summer home for Dr. Jame R. Nichols. It was eventually sold to the city of Haverhill in 1895.
