You’ll Fall In Love With The Tiny Waterfall Hiding Along This Breathtaking Maryland Trail

There's nothing more rewarding than a hike with a view. But that view doesn't always have to be a stunning mountain vista or a waterfront landscape; sometimes, it might be a humble little waterfall. And that's exactly where today's feature hike will take you. Tolliver Falls in Swallow Falls State Park is a little-known cascade in Maryland that's tucked away in a scenic forest and even offers visitors a swimming hole. In short, you'll fall in love with this charming little waterfall.

If you've ever ventured to Swallow Falls State Park, you've likely marveled at the park's well-known waterfalls: Muddy Creek Falls and, of course, Swallow Falls.

Yet, there's another waterfall within the park that we'd argue is just as magical.

This winsome waterfall can be found just a short trek from Swallow Falls, and some hikers believe it to be the park's best-kept secret.

The best way to reach the waterfall is by taking Swallow Falls Canyon Trail, which is a 1.1-mile loop.

The loop will technically include four waterfalls, but Tolliver Falls will certainly be the most secluded. And, on a hot summer day, you might even consider taking a dip.

Of course, the waterfall is absolutely lovely year-round. Check out this photo from a winter wonderland!
