The Toboggan Park In Maine That Will Make Your Winter Unforgettable

Winter in Maine is officially underway! That means it's time to take the snow pants out, get the boots ready to go, and all the hats and mittens easily accessible. It also means that outdoor activities take on a whole new meaning. Fun in the snow is a Maine tradition and this year we're hoping to try something new. First on our list? The Camden toboggan chute. Here's everything you need to know about some seriously unforgettable snow tubing in Maine.

Camden Snow Bowl, located just 90 minutes from Portland in Camden, has some of the best skiing in Maine!

The mountain features 20 runs, a 4,000-foot triple lift, snowmaking on over 80 percent of the mountain and fun night skiing.

It's ALSO the only place here that you can ski AND see epic, sweeping views of the Atlantic!

But, while we love the skiing, it's the toboggan run that we're really excited about this winter.

The Jack Williams Toboggan Chute at Camden Snow Bowl is the country's only remaining original, gravity-operated 400-foot-long wooden toboggan chute!

Visitors can bring their own Camden Snow Bowl-approved toboggans or rent one of the 'boggans that are custom-made locally by Camden Toboggan Company.

To access the chute, you'll head up to the top where an attendant will tell you everything you need to know for a safe and fun ride.

Then it's downhill to glory!

After some solid practice, you may just become a pro.
