It's the best time of year! Nope, not Christmas just yet. It's autumn in New England and that means warm apple cider, apple cider donuts, and lots of coziness. There's just something a little more special about enjoying fall in Maine compared to any other place in the US. It could be that we've got the best fall foliage. Or, it could be that we have so many wonderful, family-run pumpkin farms in Maine. This one might not be on your radar, but you've got to check it out!
Pumpkin Valley Farm, located in Dayton, Maine, is one of the best ways to enjoy a fall weekend in Vacationland.
It's a totally working farm with a variety of animals.
But that doesn't mean they're not dedicated to having good old-fashioned fun when autumn rolls around!
Along with acres of pumpkins to pick and buy, this farm offers tons of activities for kids and adults that will easily take up the better part of a day.
And with their easy admission system which is described below, just one wristband gives you access to most of the fun things you can do here.
The corn maze might be the most intricate you'll find in the state and waiting for the announcement of its theme is as almost exciting as the maze itself.
This year celebrates the 25th anniversary of PBR Bull Riding.
You might even run into some special visitors.
Recognize these guys?
There are lots of activities for kids, including the corn pit filled with millions of kernels of corn.
And the cow train is as fun to watch as it is to ride.
Spend some time enjoying the farm, but make sure you stop into the market before leaving.
You'll definitely want to grab yourself some famous homemade kettle corn!
And of course, you can't forget the pumpkins!
