The Mandeville Trailhead on the Tammany Trace in Louisiana offers a variety of amenities and events, making it a popular stop for hikers and bikers.
There are thousands of incredible hiking trails in Louisiana, but few can compare to the Tammany Trace. This converted rail trail runs for more than 30 miles through five different towns in St. Tammany Parish, with trailheads at each of the towns. Since it's paved for pretty much the entire route, it's excellent for bikes and rollerblades, and overall it's just a fun way to zip from town to town. The Mandeville Trailhead is one of those stopping points along the trail, and there's always something going on. Let's check it out:
The Mandeville Trailhead is a welcome pitstop for travelers on the Tammany Trace.
This renovated train station offers public restrooms, an amphitheater, picnic facilities, and an amphitheater.
If you're hiking or biking the Trace, you won't be able to miss it.
But you don't have to arrive by trail. There are nearby parking lots for folks who don't live on the Trace or just prefer to arrive by car.
