Lake Claiborne State Park is over in Homer, Louisiana.

This 643-acre park opened in 1974 and features tons of attractions to keep you entertained all day.

The state park is situated along the beautiful Lake Claiborne, a 6,400-acre man-made lake that was formed by damming Bayou D’Arbonne.

It’s a popular spot for boating, fishing, and swimming.

One of the park's most popular attraction is the beach.

The kids can build sand castles while you sink your toes in the sand and soak up the sun. What a perfect afternoon!

Bring some inflatable tubes so you can cool off in the refreshing waters of the lake.

Afterward, you can enjoy one of the two disc golf courses in the park, or venture down one of the many hiking trails around the park.

There are several benches around the beach, and the tall pine trees offer some much-needed shade.

You'll feel like you've been whisked away to a beautiful Florida beach.

Lake Claiborne State Park is open seven days a week.

You can visit between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., and they stay open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
