Located in Richland Parish just outside of Monroe is the perfect little slice of paradise for anyone looking to get away from it all for a day or two and enjoy the lovely scenery.

Nestled along the massive 2,700-acre reservoir, visitors to this beloved park can enjoy a variety of water sports during the warmer months, as well as year-round fishing.

Largemouth bass, black crappie, bluegill, and channel catfish are just a few of the prized fish lurking just beneath the surface.

For those wishing to explore the park on foot, the 0.5-mile nature trail is just what you’re looking for.

Winding along an off-shoot of Bayou Macon, this scenic trail is great for spotting wildlife, including the elusive Louisiana black bear.

Kids of all ages will love the playgrounds and ample green space to sprawl out on.

You might end up loving it so much that you’d like to extend your stay.
