Get Up Close With Animals At Louisiana Global Wildlife Center
Louisiana Global Wildlife Center offers a unique safari experience with free-roaming wildlife and various tour options.
You don’t have to travel all the way to Africa to have an amazing safari experience. Luckily, there's a unique park right here in Louisiana that the entire family will enjoy. The Louisiana Global Wildlife center has more than 900 acres of free-roaming wildlife that are available for you to explore, and along the way you'll come across some very hungry little fluffs. Louisiana Global Wildlife Center is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience that you'll remember forever.
Located in Folsom, the Global Wildlife Center has been a popular attraction for families with kids of all ages since they opened nearly 30 years ago.
There are several different tours offered, but the most popular is the safari wagon tour. For a more private experience, go with the private tour option where you'll head through the preserve in a Private Pinzgauer.
The Private Pinzgauer tours allow you to get even more up close and personal with the wide variety of wildlife in the area.
It's great for a small group. The Pinzgauer can accommodates up to eight people, and since it's much smaller than the group wagon, it can go places the bigger wagon tour cannot!
Watch out for the zebras...
...they've been known to get a little aggressive around food (but don't we all?)
It's a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience to get to see these unique animals so close.
Be sure to buy some feed so you can feed them!
There are some truly amazing animals on the tour, including zebras, parrots, and of course the iconic giraffes. The exotic birds here are sure to entertain you.
It seems like just about everywhere you look, there's a furry or feathered friend nearby.
And you never know when a giraffe party is about to start!
The Global Wildlife Center is open seven days a week and offers group tours and rates, but you'll want to check their website on Fridays when they update their tour schedule for the upcoming week.
For more information, including tour times, be sure to check out their website and give them a follow on Facebook.
