Kentucky kids have it made nowadays. Not only do they have access to world-class recreation at our 45 superlative Kentucky State Parks, but there are all sorts of newfangled, next-level playgrounds that simply didn't exist when we were kids (we won't say how long ago that was...). One of our favorite kid-friendly summertime destinations in the Bluegrass is a total hidden gem; a little urban oasis in the heart of Louisville. With a playground, spray ground, picnic areas, and trails, Tyler Park is the ultimate family-friendly summer day trip in Kentucky!

Tyler Park is a perfect combination of natural beauty, historical significance, and unplugged fun for all ages.

One of Louisville's urban parks designed by the legendary Olmsted brothers, Tyler Park has been providing a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city since 1910.

The park has been beautifully maintained and loved in the last 100+ years, and is a wonderful mix of old trees, original landscaping, and historic architecture...

Each summer, in partnership with Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy, Tyler Park becomes *the* place for Louisville families, hosting food trucks, entertainment, music, activities, and more!
