You’re Going To Love These Predictions About Kansas’s Mild Upcoming Winter
Kansas is expected to experience a colder and longer winter in 2023-2024 according to the Farmers' Almanac.
It might still be hot and mostly muggy here in the Sunflower State, but there's good news ahead. The Farmer's Almanac has recently released it's predictions for this winter, and you should be pleased about how mild it may be. Unless you wanted huge snow drifts, anyways. I know I've been hoping for cooler weather the past month, but are you ready to hear the news?
This year, the prediction for our winter isn't as scary as it has been in the past. Apparently, we're supposed to have a mild to moderate snowfall, with widely varying temperatures through the whole season.
In addition to that, you'll probably be seeing more days like the picture below, instead of the "fields of white" you might be used to.
We're in between an area of "less snowfall than normal" and another one labeled "mild and soggy". For us on the Easter half of the state, we're sort of used to that. However, the Western half has always gotten more snow, so who knows what Colorado will throw our way this year?
Unfortunately, that may also mean that instead of snow, we find ourselves in another series of ice storms. Remember 2002, 2005, and 2007? It's still possible that we have another year like those.
However, milder winter sounds awesome when you think about what light snow might look like under a Kansas sunset.
What do you think about the Farmer's Almanac? Let us know what you think our winter will be like this year in the comments below.
