Fall in Kansas is such a wonderfully special time of the year. The restaurant and coffee shop menus menus are full of pumpkin spice everything, it seems like there's a great fall festival being held just about every weekend, and the crisp autumn air feels so much more comfortable than the humid days of summer. For fall hiking, you can't beat the Chautauqua Hills Loop at Cross Timbers State Park or the Stoptler Cove Nature Trail at Wyandotte County Lake Park in Kansas City.
