There's not many days in Kansas that we wouldn't spend the day outdoors if we had the chance. This gorgeous nature center in Kansas is perfect for a day out in the Kansas sun, no matter the season. Have you visited this Hutchinson spot before? If you haven't, you're in for a real treat.
Today's adventures takes us to Dillon Nature Center in Hutch, a beautiful area of Kansas that's well kept and full of beauty in all shapes and sizes.
This 100 acre half-wild arboretum is also an urban wildlife sanctuary, with hundreds of wildflowers, native grass, birds, and more.
Over 300 species of trees and woody plants call this their home, and it looks stunning no matter the season.
Statues dot the park, with bears, children playing, and even an eagle being a main feature.
Take a walk down the trails and enjoy every different kind of tree you can think of, plus more. A day spent outside in Kansas is a day well spent!
They often hold events, educational festivals, and programs. Keep an eye out for more every year! There's a lot to learn about our own area of the world, not to mention all the extra trees and plants here that aren't native.
Dillon Nature Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
