Welcome to the Landon Nature Trail in Topeka, Kansas.

The trail starts at Cushinberry Park, and ends southeast of town, almost reaching the corner of S Shawnee Heights Road and W 157th Street.

The whole trail is 38 miles long, and is best traveled on foot or with a mountain bike. Dogs are allowed to come with you as long as they're on a leash.

A good part of the trail includes the now-abandoned Missouri-Pacific Railroad that leads southeast of town. You're walking a path of railroad that hasn't been used in a long time, but once was an integral part of the area.

Some of the best scenery in the area is along this trail, though you can start at any point to reach your favorite parts. You'll want to revisit this trail over and over to see every inch of its beauty.
