Indiana is a state without much ado about it. It's a simple place where the days go slow and the nights are chill, with family and friends not terribly far away and endless small towns, parks, and other areas to fall in love with. During the summer, though, it gets pretty hot thanks to our usual daytime temperatures and humidity. Fortunately, I've found one of the best things to do about such a situation. River tubing is definitely a long-loved adventure that plenty of us look forward to for the entirety of our chilly winters. First, get to HQ at 589 East Old SR-14 in Winamac; fill out some paperwork, get your tube, and get ready to rumble (or float, rather). Once you're ready, the boarding bus will arrive and take you to the launching point, where the Tippecanoe River tubing adventure begins.

The Best Time To Go Tubing in Indiana

Tubing season typically begins in June, with the peak season occurring in July and August. However, if tubes aren't your thing, you can always go with something like a kayak (canoe rentals and kayak rentals are also offered here). Fun times are ahead either way. And since the kind folks here have you covered, no need to bring your own float. Riverside Rentals is a local favorite, providing the longest float trip in Indiana. You might just make a few lifelong friends along the way.

What to Bring for This Lazy River in Indiana

What is necessary when tubing in Indiana? Riverside Rentals will provide the tube, but we recommend you pack sunblock, drinking water, and a good attitude. It's also a good idea to bring waterproof bags for your snacks and water shoes for your floating trip if you have them. Be aware, the last tubing trips depart at 2 p.m.
