Your Kids Will Love This Easy 1-Mile Waterfall Hike Right Here In Indiana

Few Hoosiers know that there is a short waterfall hike in Williamsport, Indiana that is great for even the youngest in your family. Check out this incredibly beautiful path that leads to photo-worthy sights.

Hidden within the Fall Creek Gorge Nature Preserve in northwest Indiana, there is a one-mile trail that leads to one of the most gorgeous waterfalls in all of the state.

The path is moderate and runs along a river. There are hills, roots, and potholes along the way, so be sure to wear protective footwear.

The trail leads out and back and features many different features in addition to this lovely waterfall that is best viewed March through October.

There is also a creek bed waterfall that gushes after rainfall. When it is dry, hikers enjoy climbing this natural feature.

All sorts of unique photo opportunities abound around this short waterfall hike. Big Pine Creek is also nearby, though Fall Creek is the body of water that forms the falls.

Both kid- and pet-friendly, this moderately hiked path is great for all. As it only extends for a mile, it won't take long to explore the entire thing in a single morning or afternoon.
