When you were a kid (and hey, maybe even now), the North Pole was considered an enchanting place full of magic, and of course, snow.

Here in Indiana, we experience plenty of snow and wintertime magic, and if you visit these 12 places at just the right time, you just might convince yourself that you've entered the majestic North Pole.

1. Bloomington

The gorgeous gates welcoming you into a winter wonderland at IU are enchanting enough to convince you that you've entered into Santa's magical castle.

2. Angola

These winter trails at Pokagon State Park in Angola are clearly located in Santa's own backyard.

3. Michigan City

If you ever envisioned Santa as having a beach, I bet it looked a little something like this.

4. West Lafayette

Do you think the squirrels at the North Pole get used to the weather after a while? This one doesn't seem to mind.
