Did you know that Indiana is truly one of the best states you can raise a family in? It's true! It's a safe little state with all the things to do in the world without the hustle and bustle of more populated locations (unless, of course, you end up in Indy). Sometimes you'll find some of the best options in the quaint, small towns dotted all over the state, where life is a little more simple and people know their neighbors. One of those small towns is Noblesville. It is here that you will find beautiful Finch Creek Park, a true city gem that attracts folks from all over the area. So if you're ever wondering what to do in Noblesville, Indiana, come here and find out! It is one of our favorite family-friendly parks in Indiana, and we suspect it will be yours, too!
Finch Creek Park is one of Indiana's hippest places to take the kids.
It's enormous, with so much to do packed into the space that the kids won't even know where to begin. That's okay - give them a few hours and they'll be pros in no time.
There are different playgrounds for older kids (5-12) and younger kids (2-5), as well as all kinds of fun amenities kids of every age will enjoy.
What do you think the kiddos will want to do first? Maybe the swings? Maybe the splash pad? Maybe...
...the giant xylophone and other musical playground equipment that can be found throughout the grounds? Hey, it's up to you (and them).
For the youngsters who enjoy sports, there are plenty of sports to be played at Finch Creek Park. The fieldhouse is host to lots of local kids' sporting events, and it's the perfect place for your athletically-inclined younguns to get all that excess energy out before coming home for the night and going to bed. There are also four pickleball courts, a basketball court, and more.
There's even a pond onsite, where you can hang out and contemplate life while the kiddos are off having the time of their lives.
The splash pad here at the park is generally open from Memorial Day to Labor Day - weather permitting, of course. Adult supervision is strongly advised for children of all ages, though the park is quite safe. You never know what kind of shenanigans the kids can get themselves into.
While they're here having the best day ever, you might be able to get in a little quiet time to yourself - with the sounds of happy children playing in the park in the background, of course.
Other features of this incredible kid-friendly park in Indiana are the aforementioned splash pad (bring towels!), changing tables in the women's and men's rooms, and so much more. They sure did manage to jam-pack all the fun in the world into this little family park in small-town Indiana.
The kids may never want to leave. It's alright... we didn't either.
Of course, that just means you'll have to return tomorrow. No biggie. Well, actually it is one of the best big parks for kids in the state.
Finch Creek Park can be found in the Wayne Township on the eastern side of Noblesville. For more information about this delightful place to take the family or meet up with friends, be sure to check out the official park website. It just might be the coolest thing you can do outdoors for free!
