1. Williamsport Falls Loop Hike - Williamsport

This 1.6-mile loop trail is a must-do for hikers of all skill levels.

An easy gravel path leads you through a stunning forest before you reach the falls. Depending on the time of year you visit, the falls could be a simple trickle or an epic cascade. Bring water shoes if you want to get up close to this waterfall. The trail is best hiked from March to October.

2. Cascades Park Trail - Bloomington

This simple hike is less than a mile long, checking in at just 0.8 miles.

Let this paved, linear path lead you to a small paradise. This trail connects Lower Cascades Park to the Stone Mill Road/North Old State Route 37 intersection. It's best traversed from March to October.

3. Shades State Park Trail #1 - Brown Township

Another 0.8-mile easy loop hike takes you through a landscape that feels like something out of a fairy tale before you even reach the waterfall.

You begin the hike at the Devil's Punchbowl, which is a worthwhile adventure on its own. You'll wander through a breathtaking creek bed until you reach Silver Cascade Falls. You're going to need your camera for this one because it's ridiculously photogenic.

4. Ed Dailey Nature Trail - Spencer

This ridiculously epic hike is one of the longer ones on this list, at 1.7 miles long, but it's worth every single step.

This trail is great for more than just the falls - the bird watching here is second to none. You'll also spot a covered bridge along the way. This trail is great year round, and we definitely encourage you to get out during all seasons to see just how exceptional it is. From the lush forest to the awe-inspiring old trees, there's something about this trail that's simply magical. These might just be among our favorite waterfalls in Indiana.

5. Little Clifty Falls Trail - Madison

This 1.6-mile loop trail features lots of easy-to-trek steps and is quite easy to hike, though it gets wet sometimes.

Good hiking shoes and/or water shoes would do you a lot of good on this one. This trail is best hiked from April to October, and like all the entries on this list, we strongly encourage bringing a camera.

6. Bluffs of Beaver Bend - Shoals

The amusingly strange name is one thing, but the trail it contains is seriously just as much fun to hike as the name is to say.

At 2.7 miles long, it's the longest hike on this list, but it's just as easy as the others. The Indiana Nature Conservancy maintains this area, and they work hard to keep this place beautiful. This trail is great year round, and every season seems to bring new beauty to the hike.

7. Salamonie River Waterfall Trail - Lagro Township

This 1.7-mile loop trail is an Indiana gem.

The green forest surrounding you as you make the trek to the falls is simply exceptional. There seems to be something special about the woods here in the Hoosier State. They're not just beautiful and full of life. They're also ideal for an afternoon of getting in touch with nature.
