Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve in northern Illinois is a 220-acre safe haven for wildlife and more and it is home to a marvelous little nature center.
These wildlife woods and nature center are situated along Salt Creek, which is long and wide. It runs through much of this area.
There are 1.3 miles of paved trails to explore on an interpretive path which leads through this wildlife woods that is full of all sorts of critters and types of terrain.
You'll come across all sorts of fun and unique features when you visit Fullersburg Woods Nature Preserve and Education Center.
Waterfalls, pavilions and other shelters, a historic graue mill and museum, as well as diverse ecosystems stun and amaze.

Within the nature center itself, there is a 13,000-year-old skeleton of a woolly mammoth as well as many other specimens of creatures that still call DuPage County home today.
